Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2013



Dates of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2013 have been issued by the Staff Selection Commission, in order to fill the vacant posts of Lower Division Clerk and Data Entry Operator with suitable candidates. The applicants have to satisfy the eligibility criteria for applying for the posts. Alongside, they have to grab proper information regarding the examination pattern and syllabus prior to prepare for the exam.

The scheme of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2013 including examination pattern and the syllabus are given below for the applicants. The exam is divided in two parts where the pattern of Written examination is common for both posts while in the second part Skill Test will be conducted for Date entry operator and Typing test for LCD post.

The exam paper will comprise of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set in English and Hindi medium for Part-I, III & IV. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Syllabus


General Intelligence including topics such as Semantic Analogy, Drawing inferences, Embedded figures, Coding and de-coding, Semantic Series, Figural Series and more for complete syllabus refer the complete notification.

English Language including topics such as Spot the Error, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting Misspelled words, Improvement of Sentences, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration and more other topics, for detailed topics refer the complete notification.

Quantitative Aptitude including the topics such as Number Systems Computation of Whole Number, Decimal and Fractions, Percentages, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Histogram, Trigonometric ratios, Degree and Radian Measures and more. General Awareness: The questions under this section is particularly designed to test the general awareness of the candidates on the topics of current affairs and the matters of everyday observation, environment around person and its application to society, information about India and its surrounding countries especially pertaining to the Culture, History, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.

Skill Test for Data Entry Operator

The candidate should have Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) key depressions per hour on the Computer.

Typing Test for LDCs

The Candidates choose English as a medium for an exam should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute.
